Awakening to the Consciousness of Love

ancestral wisdom Oct 18, 2025

Across traditions and throughout time, the elders and wisdom keepers have all pointed to the same truth: love is the highest path.

The Maya, the Inca, the Lakota, the Toltecs, all carried teachings that remind us that love is not only the glue of existence, but also the portal to harmony with all of creation.

To walk with love is to walk in balance, because love itself is the force that sustains life.

We’ve all experienced it in one way or another.
A baby who doesn’t speak feels the resonance of love.
Our pets, our plants, all respond to our love.
Love is the point of connection.

AWAKENING IN LOVE

In times of division, love is the greatest prayer.

Love challenges us to expand — to see beyond our limits and find a higher truth at the service of life.

Invoking love isn’t always easy. Sometimes, wounds and fears rise first. But here is the medicine:
love does not require perfection. It only requires willingness.

The elders teach that every moment is an opportunity to return — to choose again, to soften again, to open again. What a beautiful gift. 🥹

Love is always available.
It is the most beautiful possibility of life and the wisest use of our personal energy.

HOW I INVOKE LOVE IN MY LIFE

  • Begin the day remembering: there is an infinitely greater power than me, one that guides and helps when I open myself to it.
  • Recall the feeling of love. I bring to mind a memory or moment where I felt complete love and peace — from any time in my life — and I invite that sensation into the present moment.
  • Pray to Spirit. From that feeling of love, I elevate a sincere intention from my heart:
    •  “God, this is what I want. Please help me. I want to be an instrument of love — for myself and for others. Help me in a beautiful way, with gentleness and grace.”
  • Dissolve the ego. Anytime unaligned thoughts, judgments, or fears arise, I catch them and silently say, “Disintegrate this, Great Spirit,” and I don’t continue to feed them.
  • Become conscious of my thoughts, words, and actions: In a natural and fluid way, I take pauses to observe: How do I feel? If there’s any sense of void or disconnection, I look within myself — often, it began as a small, harmless thought or attitude that lingered. I observe it with humility, dissolve the ego, and invoke love.

I have also learned that invoking love starts within. It does not mean letting people walk over you and being a push over. You can move with clarity and with love. You can be sincere and express your truth with love.

It begins inside.
When we invoke love for ourselves, we can naturally embody it for others.

A SEED TO CARRY

What would it look like to live as if love is your foundation?
Take a moment this week to notice where love is already present — in the way sunlight feels on your skin, in a kind glance, in your own breath.
Love is not something we find; it’s something we remember.
